Having spent a long time searching; I have finally found a supply for 12 volt 15 watt fluorescent low energy bulbs with either standard bayonet connector (BC)bases, or E27 ES screw bases. that are of an excellent quality. Let me know which type you require. The light produced for the power that they use cannot be beaten.
Do not be fooled by the low price, they are not cheap and nasty items, I make a small but fair profit.
The light is of the near daylight type and once warmed up produces an output of around the equivalent of a 75 watt tungsten bulb.
These bulbs are ideal if you are working away from a mains electricity supply, they can be connected to any suitable 12 volt battery. Thanks to its internal circuitry each bulb just uses around 1 Amp of power.
Keep them handy for power cuts also; they can be connected to any 12 volt battery to give a good light in an emergency situation and are much better and safer than candles.
